How to Use Deep Breathing for Instant Calm

Watching a recent Facebook LIVE interview with Daniel Goleman, author of Emotional Intelligence, he shared an exercise I'd already been using, but with one slight difference.

In doing this breathing exercise as he was speaking during the interview, I instantly felt a sense of peace and calm. Exercise: Deep Breathing for Instant Calm Here's the method: 1. Take a deep breath, pushing your belly out as you do. 2. Hold that breath for as long as is comfortable. 3. Slowly breathe out. 4. Repeat. This can be done anywhere. First, practice it at home in private to get used to the process, then apply it no matter where you are. What positive experiences have you had using breathing techniques? I'd love to know. Tell me in the comments. With love,
