The process is where the learning is too, right?
Our path is where the learning is. There is no destination we will get to that says we've arrived in terms of our personal development - the journey is where we learn. Often we think that once we have a new skill, have launched a new product or service or achieved some other goal is when we have done it. We've made it.
Well, in my experience so far in life, I've discovered that I learn equally as much, if not more on my way to my goals.
One example of this is my book I'm currently writing. I know, it seems like forever that I've been talking about it, but I can assure you, it will be published in the second half of this year.
There are so many lessons I'm learning as I write my first book.
I'm learning about writing. I'm learning about my fear of publishing my work. I'm learning about how to manage my time as a writer. I'm learning about audience expectations. I'm learning about editing, publishing, book covers and more. I'm learning about how I perceive myself as a writer. I'm learning about marketing a book.
All of those things I'm learning, as I work on this project.
I haven't even published it yet. Once I do, there will be a whole new pile of lessons for me.
This teaches us that every moment is a lesson for us, every part of every process and endeavour we undertake.
